Can you read? Can you speak? I am not sure how???

An UntoldCityLife.com’s City Culture by Xiao Loong Zi

First of all, let me great you with my hands

Helo

That’s “Helo”, fingerspelling in hand language :).

I am not sure what making me into studying hand language today? Perhaps because one day I could use it for simple conversation with my “special” friends? So regretfully, I have not made friends with any of them yet in my life. In fact, I always see them in group especially in the art centers, bookshops, and sometimes the gym in KL. Their “silent” conversations always disrupted me from focusing on my stuff but instead on their gestures, body languages and hand movements.

Let’s study the “alphabets” here :). You need to know all following “alphabets” to do fingerspelling! Fingerspelling is useful in spelling your name or places to people :)

fingerspelling a - z

If you know hand language very well. Be my friends :). Leave me your comment here :)

Unfair World

City Cultures, Uncategorized 6 Comments »

A voice inside QQ’s heart! A kind of City Culture :p

Do you think this world is fair enough? I was so not happy today :(

People always said that *Result = Effort + Time*. If you would like your effort being recognized by your boss or manager, you need to show your ability over the time. And it should be consistent! Means when they think that you should or need to do something, then you need to perform it very very good. You should show highly, exceptional good job, no matter you have enough resources or skills . Cos they think that: It’s time for you to learn and showing to me that you are capable! OK, FINE!

But then, I just found out today that, in reality, Result = Effort + Time + Selling skill + Acting skills. Selling skills and Acting skills is quite similar. However, they are different at some extend. Selling skills is how good you are in telling others that you are willing to accept whatever jobs you that have been assigned to you (no matter you like it), then occupied your colleagues time to complete the tasks, and take the credit. Acting skills is skill to act innocent in front of your colleagues that you are FULLY occupied your time on your own tasks until has no time to look on other additional jobs! Yet, can enjoy 1/2 hour breakfast at cafeteria, more than an hours lunch hour and back on time! And finally, being promoted! What kind of world it is??

Clarke Quay - Singapore

An UntoldCityLife.com’s City Culture Review by Xiao Loong Zi

Clarke Quay Singapore is located along the famous Singapore’s River in between of Baot Quay and Robinson Quay. In fact, my new residence at Somerset Liang Court is just beside to Clarke Quay.

Clarke Quay is one of the famous tourist spots in Singapore, a commercial area developed by CapitalLand. So what can you do and see in Clarke Quay? Clarke Quay is a place for wonderful night life, Ministry of Sounds, disco, pub & bar, delicious foods, great wine, good times, riverside walking & views as well as home to the G-Max Reverse Bungee.

Dare to try the G-Max Reverse Bungee?

Sacheon, a boring town?

A small town in Korea

An UntoldCityLife.com’s City Culture Review written by Xiao Loong Zi

South Korea Map

One little girl, one (soontobe) bridegroom, one still virgin boy (unverified) and one old folk have been there in for months. The life is pretty routine during the days and nights, except sometimes hilarious stuff does happening to them. Somehow these people who got the chance to travel and work abroad, always complaining the boring life in Sacheon.

Sacheon State

Sacheon, is infact not a town but rather a city with more than 114k population located in the Southern part of Korea under the province of South Gyeongsang. Not only that, it is a city important to the Aerospace Industry for Korea. I am just wondering why would a city with 114k population would be so boring according to my colleagues? Perhaps because the city itself was merged from the northern part of Sacheon-gun and southern part of Samcheonpo-si? Or because the local idiom said “Was going well but suddenly slips into Samcheonpo”, it means that a speaker was gone off topic. :p

Let’s zoom into Sacheon to see the boring life…

Sacheon Town 2

After seeing from the sky, now I understand the city itself is pretty small and nothing much except a “big” airport and a lot of agriculture lands. I supposed my colleagues missed everyone in Malaysia very much, so this is what they always see at night in the sky.

The Gardens - Mid Valley - it’s about you… shopaholic review by AverageJoe

It seems like KL is being bombarded with tons of new shopping complexes. Okay, maybe I’m being a little bit too much, it’s just 2 as far as I know. I haven’t been to Pavilion but seems to me The Gardens is comparable to Pavilion based on the Xiao Loong Zi’s article - A visit to KL Pavilion, a classy shopaholic heaven
